Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026 — South Africa (POPIA)

1. Who we are

BEN AIAH (PTY) LTD ("BENAIAH", "we", "us") is a construction technology company registered in South Africa (CIPC registration number 202671237207) and based in Johannesburg. This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). For any privacy matter, contact hello@benaiahai.com.

2. Information we collect

When you contact us, book a discovery call, or apply for the founding pilot programme, we collect the details you submit: your name, job title, company, work email address, phone or WhatsApp number, the operational problem you describe, and any workflow information you choose to share. Where a pilot is agreed, we also process the project information your company provides to us — such as documents, drawings, spreadsheets, programmes and project updates.

3. Why we process it

Contact details are processed to respond to your enquiry, arrange discovery calls, and administer the founding pilot programme. Project information is processed only to provide the services agreed with your company in writing. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your project information to train models shared with other customers.

4. Legal basis and consent

We process your personal information on the basis of your consent (given when you submit a form or contact us), and where processing is necessary to conclude or perform a contract with you or your company. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us; withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.

5. How we protect information

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including access controls, encrypted transport, and limiting access to personnel who need it to do their work. No system can be guaranteed absolutely secure, and we do not claim certifications or assurances we do not hold. If a security compromise affects your personal information, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as required by POPIA.

6. Sharing with third parties

We use a limited number of service providers to operate our business, such as cloud hosting, email and messaging services. These operators process information on our instruction and are subject to confidentiality and data-protection obligations. Some providers may process information outside South Africa; where this happens we require protections substantially similar to those under POPIA.

7. Retention and deletion

Enquiry and pilot-application details are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping. Project information is retained for the duration of the engagement and deleted or returned on request. You may request deletion or export at any time by emailing us.

8. Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa (enquiries@inforegulator.org.za). Send requests to us and we will respond within a reasonable period, and in any event within the timeframes set by POPIA.

9. Cookies and analytics

This website does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We record anonymous interaction events — such as which buttons are clicked — to understand how the site is used. These events do not include personal information beyond what you voluntarily submit through a form.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the product develops. Material changes will be communicated to active clients before taking effect, and the current version is always published here. Questions or requests: hello@benaiahai.com.
