Problem · JBCC contracts

Delay & dispute protection starts with your records

On JBCC projects, an extension-of-time or variation claim is only as strong as the records behind it. The problem is rarely knowing what happened on site — it is proving it, on time, from information scattered across diaries, reports, emails and minutes.

Why delay claims get weakened

Contracts typically set notice periods and documentation requirements. When the facts behind a delay sit in different files kept by different people, notices can be late, figures can disagree between documents, and the timeline becomes hard to reconstruct months later.

Small inconsistencies — a progress percentage in one report that differs from a site update, or a completion date that moved without explanation — are exactly what gets challenged in a dispute.

How BENAIAH is designed to help

You upload project documents into a controlled workspace. BENAIAH extracts dated facts, links every finding to its source document and passage, and flags where documents disagree with a visible “conflict — human review required” warning rather than silently choosing one figure.

It is designed to surface possible delays, moved dates and missing information early, so your team can decide whether a notice or instruction is needed while there is still time to act.

What stays with your team

BENAIAH does not interpret your contract, decide entitlement or draft legal positions. It helps you see and evidence the facts; the contractual judgement stays with your project manager, quantity surveyor and advisers.

Important

BENAIAH is an early-stage product. It organises project information and highlights items for human review — it does not give legal, contractual, engineering or financial advice. Contract decisions remain with your team and professional advisers.
